The Florida Commission on Ethics requires persons holding governmental positions to file a Financial Disclosure annually, and as a part of the Candidate Qualifying process during an election cycle. Fla. Stat. 112.3144 and 112.3145.
The Ethics Commission prepares a list of persons holding governmental positions who are required to file a financial disclosure for the previous year. The Ethics Commission obtains the name and address of each individual from coordinators who have been designated from each state and local government agency.
As an office holder, you may be required to file a Form 1 Statement of Financial Interests or Form 6 Full and Public Financial Disclosure within 60 days of appointment. Form 1F is required to be filed by officers within 60 days of leaving office. Local officers or employees who are required to file the Form 1 and are permanently residing in Palm Beach County may email the form to financialdisclosures@votepalmbeach.gov or should deliver the Form 1 Statement of Financial Interests to our office Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Q: When is the final deadline to submit my Form 1?
A: No later than September 1, 2023.
Q: Will I be fined after September 1, 2023?
A: Yes, fines are accrued after September 1, 2023, at a rate of $25 per day, up to $1,500.
Q: How can I submit my Form 1?
A: Via email, financialdisclosures@votepalmbeach.gov, by mail or delivering to one of our four county offices.
Q: Where do I file my Form 1?
A: To the Supervisor of Elections of the filer's county in which they reside.
Q: Should my Form 1 say 2023 at the top right corner?
A: No, it should say 2022 as you are submitting your financial information for the previous year. The concept is similar to filing your taxes, you file for the previous year.
